Dick Whittington Saturday 9 – Friday 22 December Act One Pantomimes return with another laughter-packed family panto this December. Harpenden Public Halls’ panto for 2017 is Dick Whittington, and tickets are flying out the doors! Join your hero Dick Whittington and his faithful cat Tommy as they set out on a quest to find fame and fortune in this ultimate rags to riches tale. The show stars JEN PRINGLE as Fairy Bowbells. Jen can be seen on weekday mornings presenting Milkshake on Channel Five, and she is immensely popular with children. Jen is really looking forward to coming to the town to spread her Fairy magic. LUKE ROBERTS from TVs Hi-5 returns (following his success last year as Buttons in Cinderella). Luke is delighted to be back in town! BBC Three Counties Radio’s ERNIE ALMOND also returns to add his comedy talents to the show. Will Dick find the streets paved with gold? Will he win the hand of the lovely Alice? Will he defeat the evil King Rat? The story takes us from Gloucester to London and then to Morocco, with twists and turns and plenty of laughs along the way. Windsor On Ice offers a great value day out for all the family, regardless of the weather, as our main ice skating rink is fully covered. We also have a smaller open air ice rink, and you can skate on both for the price of just one skating ticket. An excellent, fun venue for days out with the children, Christmas, Birthday, or Corporate Parties, and a great experience for groups or clubs who want to ice skate on real ice over the festive period. We open on Saturday the 18th of November until Sunday the 7th January. We bring fun on the ice for young and old alike, where all levels of skaters are welcome, experienced and inexperienced. This year our viewing area, festive food court and some attractions are also under cover, so non skaters can relax and stay warm while watching their family have fun on the ice rink, whilst enjoying freshly ground coffee or sampling our festive food and drink from our indoor Ice Bar and Grill. Windsor’s main shopping centre is less than five minutes walk from the ice rink, with many bars and restaurants close by. The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, along with Alexandra Gardens, have built the new bandstand which can be seen from the side of our outside ice rink track with an extended outdoor viewing platform. Why not take in a great river walk, or visit the world famous Windsor Castle too?

Prepare to be swept away by the seasonal atmosphere as our stunning ice rink opens to the public for its annual run. Join us to skate against a backdrop of one of the greatest palaces on earth – Henry VIII’s historic home, Hampton Court Palace. The open-air ice rink epitomises the very best in festive fun. Be transported to one of the country’s most scenic skating settings, with spectacular views of the Thames-side Tudor palace. Located in front of the palace, our stunning ice rink offers something for everyone, from novice to expert. The skating season begins on 24th November 2017 and offers the perfect way to welcome in the winter with family and friends. We’re open daily through to 7th January 2018, with the exception of Christmas Day.
